Gnara Is Opening Our First Ever Retail Store! A Letter from the Founder.

Yes y'all, you heard that right! We're currently pinching ourselves, too.

As a founder, I can't say it has been my dream to sit by myself behind multiple screens for hours a day on end for a couple years now in order to birth a revolutionary technology into the world. Entrepreneurship is decidedly not as glamorous as it sounds, but it is that determination -- dare I say, obsession? -- that has allowed us to get GoFly® into as many hands (well, onto as many butts) as possible.

Seeing our now 30,000+ pairs of pants, shorts, leggings, biker shorts, and overalls (and soon, Burton ski/snowboard bibs and compatible base layers (!!)) out in real life has made it all worth it. Whether you've left a review with a photo of you walking your dog, emailed a story about the time our GoFly® literally saved your life on a first ascent multi-pitch climb, tagged us in your post-race results after PR'ing in an ultra marathon or thru hike in our Go Free™ 6" Shorts, or told another human or brand about why they need Gnara in their lives or GoFly® in their products, thank you.

To be quite frank, it is those tangible moments and shared stories -- and not much else in this tariffed economy -- that have kept me and us going. That desire to touch and feel and try on and see a jaw drop followed by an instant smile -- those are the very real highs we are constantly chasing as an emerging brand solving real problems for real people. Which is why I am beyond stoked to announce Gnara's first storefront! 

As a small business owner, I can say that this retail space really is my personal dream come true. From the time I was a little girl, I've always wanted to live above a small business on a Main Street somewhere. I cannot tell you the number of times I've dreamt about waking up, walking over to unlock my shop doors, steaming my inventory, and then watching the magic that it is a perfect fitting pair of functional pants on a soon-to-be lifelong fan unfold before my very eyes. It really just doesn't compare to spreadsheets, Zoom calls, Meta ad conversions, and an email inbox that is impossibly full.


This major milestone is a manifestation of the movement you and Gnara -- we, together -- have created. And it's a deep well of motivation we will continue to fill up and pull from.

My vision for this space is simple: To create a Third Place. A place that's not 1) work nor 2) home. Where our core community in our home state can gather, connect, converse, and create.

It is not lost on me how incredibly special it is for a brand of our size to have access to a store and event space on the most iconic street in Colorado, next to some of the biggest names in the industry. And for that reason, it is also my personal mission to uplift and amplify as many fellow small businesses, female or otherwise underrepresented founders, artists, athletes, musicians, writers, and creatives in the process. A rising tide lifts all boats. While I'm not sure if a Gnara Pop-Up Retail Store and Event Space can solve all the world's problems, I do feel confident that it can make a not insignificant dent in them.
