These pants really take the cake! So many great features. The mid-high waist is so comfortable, the cinches at the ankles are really great for protection against dirt/rocks/etc when paired with ankle gaiters, the pockets are actually big enough to fit things inside them (and the side/zip pocket is perfect for even a larger smart phone), the material is water resistant but not too hot and dries quickly... I feel like I could go on forever.

I have used these pants on so many multipitch climbs and backpacking trips, and I can never go back to having to trying to pull my pants down underneath a harness or deal with taking my backpack off and pulling down my sweaty pants to squat down and pee again. These pants (and the shorts because I also had to buy a pair of those after using these over and over again) paired with a kula cloth have literally changed my life!!

The only thing I will say is that the sizing does run quite large for my body type - I have thicker/muscular thighs and butt and a smaller waist and am normally a size 4, but comfortably wear a size 2 in these (with a bit of extra room in the waist).

Thank you Gnara, these are literally the best piece of outdoor clothing I own and I can never go back to another pair of pants/shorts without a pee zipper again!

I basically only wear Gnara pants now because the go fly zipper is so convenient (and necessary!) for my hikes, and travel days. They are stretchy and breathable and yet sturdy enough to handle butt scooting down steep sand stones at Zion with out ripping! I have 5 pairs now (wow oops!), and my original pair (from the shefly days) is still hanging together great.

So happy someone came up with this idea!!!! So nice to be able to squat and do your business without showing the world your butt!! The sizing was spot on!! Nice material, good stretch, nice color, great amount of pockets!

I often get asked, if I have lost weight when I’m wearing the hiking pants. I have 3 pairs and they are my go to pants.

I was skeptical of these pants at first, but they are no doubt, my favorite pants for climbing, especially multi-pitch. They fit amazingly well, the pee zipper doesn't change the comfort of the pants at all and they make peeing feel more private in exposed places (I've only peed on my underwear once and just left the pee zipper undone until they tried). The pockets are normal sized and there's a zipper phone pocket!

They are a slightly heavy/warmer pant, but if it's hot it's easy to pull or roll up the bottoms to let the legs breathe.

Note on sizing: I typically aim for a size 4 in women's pants because I don't like tight fitting clothes, but I'm a 2 in gnara and they fit perfectly, now that they stretched I use the drawstring to keep them on, so I'd recommend downsizing.
