Since discovering these pants, I have bought no other hiking pants. Why would I? I can pee in any environment without embarrassment, without crouching awkwardly, without taking off my pack, or worrying about accidentally peeing on my pants. I don't have to get half-naked in the rain or snow, or squat all the way down into the local flora. If an unruly arachnid gets too close, I can flee without falling on my face. I was hiking past a group of gals the other day when one of them stopped me, exclaiming, "I hadn't seen those pants in the wild yet! Tell us all about them!" and we proceeded to have a whole conversation about peeing in the woods. It was liberating. These pants are liberating. You'll see what I mean.

These are brilliant. I am one of those ladies who doesn't have an issue dropping trou but on busy hiking trails, I often find myself having to go off path a ways to find suitable locations. With this innovative Go There zipper technology, I can squat not so far off the trail and feel like I am not totally exposed. Not to mention, these are just great hiking pants. Water resistant, great fabric with plenty of stretch when needed but maintain their shape and support. Love them, I bet you will too!

I used my Gnara pants in the woods for the first time last week and it was life changing! These pants in combination with a Kula Cloth have revolutionized backpacking and hiking for those of us with inboards instead of outboards! Thank you, Gnara!

I just completed the Appalachian Trail. These hiked the last 650 miles with me and I cannot imagine not hiking in them anymore.
I bet I saved scores of hours over the months on the trail by not having to remove my pack and yank on my clothes to answer nature's call.

All the other female hikers were envious when they realized I did not have to take my pack off or yank on my clothes to go. I also liked that I was able to be modest when someone surprised me coming unexpectedly around the bend. It reduced the embarrassment factor for me, and the unexpected guest.

The fabric on this model is heavy, and during heat spells, was pretty warm. I also have the shorts, but given how much poison ivy and ticks I contended with, I stayed with the long pants. I was glad to have the full legs. It was a trade off.

An unexpected benefit of the long legs was not getting my legs roughed up when I fell or banged into sharp rocks. My hiking partner fell in a pair of typical nylon hiking pants and suffered multiple cuts and scrapes through the pants. I kissed the ground more times than I would like and neither the pants nor I got cut.

I have one wish, and that is they were available in petite. My stride is shorter than average and, although 5'7" tall, the petite often fits me better. I ended up rolling the waist band once and using the drawstring to secure the pants in place. Even with this "fashion statement" I would not trade these for anything!

The pants I have are still in great shape. They look like I can get years more wear out of them.
