My go-to gear

When people ask for my gear recs, Kula cloth is one of the first things that comes to mind. It is GAME. CHANGING. to not pack toilet paper from out every time I peed on the trail or have to dig countless catholes just for paper. Fun patterns, a cool conversation starter about hygiene in the woods if you want to use it that way, and oh-so-useful. If you don't have a Kula and you go outside, you should get a Kula.

most convenient piece of gear in my closet

I literally don't step outside without a kula -- usually a gnara kula. I use it all 4 seasons, it easily snaps onto any backpack, fanny pack, running rest, etc. (or folds down small enough to fit into a clutch/purse/travel toiletry bag), it's easy to wash with the rest of my laundry, it's sustainable af, and it's always an excellent conversation starter. I can't wait for the next design! Gnara x Kula is absolutely a match made in pee heaven.

Did you know that Kula’s first collab was with Gnara when they were know as SheFly??!! I’ve got that Kula cloth and now have added this one to the collection. They’ve been on many a hikes.
Gnara’s Kula cloth used with all of Gnara’s apparel with the Go Fly zipper technology….now THAT’s a match made in heaven!!

Kula Cloth

I purchased two for my upcoming trek up Kilimanjaro. I have not used them yet but look forward to having the convenience. However, I am not pleased with the hiking pants purchase. I purchased them in a size M at first, they did not fit so I exchanged for a L. I am usually a M so they must run small. The L fit but is very uncomfortable where the zipper is between the legs. I do not think they are a good fit for my body shape and would rub raw on a long backpacking trek. I tried to return them and they will not accept any returns on items that have been exchanged - even if never worn and in original packaging with tags. Never had this happen with other companies. Just be aware so you are not stuck with expensive pants you cannot wear.
