Letter from the Co-Founder: Go Free Legging Collection

Georgia Grace here, Co-Founder and CEO of Gnara. May this update find you outdoors and surrounded by puppies.

As we get ready to kick off our Go Free Collection on Kickstarter, I thought it would be a good time to share some contextual details about this product launch and why it's such a big milestone for us.

First, some Light Bragging: The Go Free Collection features another patented GoFly design that won an Outdoor Retailer Innovation Award, making Gnara the only company that has ever won this award back-to-back, following the recognition from our Go There Collection. "Honored" doesn't quite capture it, but you could say we are the most innovative company in the outdoor industry.

Second, the Timeline: This Collection has been in the works for longer than we've been a company. We've gone through 4 different factories and countless fabric and trim suppliers to get these right — despite the overwhelming pressure to move quickly at all costs and being told that this couldn’t be done. Historically, we’ve focused on perfecting one product a year, so we’re really excited to add both The ⅞ Legging and The 6” Short this time around – on top of The Ecotrek x GoFly Overall we launched last month – all while staying true to our values. You could say we’re becoming true experts in our field – The Pee Zipper Field, that is.

Dirty Deets & Use Cases: Besides being flattering-to-boot(y), the Go Free Collection is made with quality, sustainability, and versatility in mind. Wear them as standalone pieces or as a compatible layer underneath your Go There Pants (think: snowshoeing, backcountry skiing, etc!). Wear them on your next trail or errand run, dog walk, yoga class in the park, bouldering sesh, hike, or outdoor rave.The Go Free pieces come with everything that you've come to love in our Go There Collection (deep pockets, 4-way stretch, harness compatibility, etc.), with everything else you’ve asked for since (recycled fabrics, a staple item you reach for daily, and an even more inclusive size range (hello, 3XL!)). 

The Big Pic: The Go Free Collection moves us one step closer to fulfilling the vision we imagined from the start — creating a world where everyone, but especially women and girls, doesn't have to think twice before venturing outside and can explore exactly as they are — safely, comfortably, and confidently.

With the Go Free Launch, we’re one step closer to getting the GoFly zipper technology into as many hands (ok, onto as many butts) as is humanly possible — to make our innovative, award-winning design the norm, instead of the exception in bottoms – across industry and gender.
